Lena Maria Hansen, B.Sc.

Short Biography Lena Maria Hansen completed her bachelor's degree in physics at the Technical University of Berlin in summer 2020. For the bachelor’s thesis she investigated photonic integrated circuits for quantum communication within the framework of the European UNIQORN project in close cooperation with the Fraunhofer Heinrich-Hertz-Institute.

Her current research focuses on quantum dots as highly pure single photon emitters. The master’s thesis will cover active temporal-to-spatial demultiplexing for quantum computation protocols. For this project she moved to Vienna to perform the experimental studies within the group Quantum Optics and Quantum Information of Professor Philip Walther of the University of Vienna.
