Daniel Vajner, M.Sc.
PhD student - Research Group Quantum Communication Systems
Short Biography Daniel Vajner completed his Bachelor studies at Freie Universität Berlin doing research on Weyl semimetals during his Bachelor thesis. During this time, he had stays abroad in Scotland and the USA, where he dealt with scanning tunneling microscopy and SnTe nanowires. For his master’s degree, he then chose a German-French double master’s degree, spending the first year in Berlin and the second year in Paris at the Université Paris Saclay. In his master's thesis at the Center de Nanoscience et de Nanotechnologie, he investigated the properties of exciton polaritons, quasiparticles which are a superposition of light in a microcavity and excitons in a quantum well.
Students interested in quantum technologies and quantum information science looking for an interesting topic for their thesis are welcome.
