Koray Kaymazlar, M.Sc.
PhD student - Research Group Quantum Communication Systems
Short Biography Koray Kaymazlar completed his Bachelor studies at the Middle East Technical University (METU) in Ankara, Turkey, in physics (optoelectronics) with a double major in electrical and electronics engineering. In his master study at METU in the group of Ismail Rafatov he investigated gas discharge plasmas using numerical methods. During his studies he worked as a research engineer in a project on optical time domain reflectometry (OTDR). Later, he worked on quantum key distribution systems in the nanophotonics and quantum optics laboratory of Serkan Ateş at the Izmir Institute of Technology.
He joined jAG Heindel at TU Berlin in autumn 2020 as PhD student working on the development and analysis of components for, and the implementation of quantum key distribution in the framework of the project QuSecure.
