Investigation of optical, electrical and structural properties of quantum dots with photo-, cathode-, electro-, and micro-luminescence (including time-resolved spectroscopy), excitation spectroscopy, capacity transient spectroscopy and high resolution X-ray diffraction. Numerical modeling of material strain, electronic and excitonic energy levels and properties of photonic components based on narrowband and/or high piezoelectric broadband semiconductors among others on IBM high-performance computers of the Zuse Institute Berlin.
